Laptop Vs. Computer
Alright, I’m just going to get straight to the point on this one…
By listing the pros and cons, or reasons that one would be a laptop > desktop or desktop > laptop right here.
Laptops: Downsides to Desktops-
- Â The only reason for having a laptop would be for its portability really.
- If your going back and forth between houses, you want something to do at grandma’s house, or something for the plane. The portability works out great for things like this.
- For college, one can take their laptop to school and easily take notes on what the teacher is saying. This serves as a double feature for guys who wanna do power points and show them to their boss, or take notes at a meeting.
- House portability: Yea, great you can take your laptop with you while your doing your business… although I don’t advice it. I’ve found it useful when I want to show my dad something and he’s just too lazy to get up off of the couch and come look at the computer in my room.
- Laptops take up less space than a regular computer err desktop would.
- Another great reason for having a laptop would be because you can, I mean… if you can afford it and you like the laptop so much better than a regular desktop then buy it (of course you should make sure it works for what you want to do with it as well)
- For all of this portability we’ve been talking about, your going to want to make sure you have a pretty good battery in all the places you can’t just plug the laptop in.
Desktops: Downsides to Laptops-
- Laptops don’t have very much space, and in general can’t hold as much of that useless crap everybody insists on downloading on their computers. Of course I download all of that crap too
but still, an expensive laptop seems to have a decent amount of space. - Laptops are generally a lot more expensive than regular desktops and come with less attractive system specs and a price that doesn’t really seem to match. So expect Desktops to be a lot more powerful than laptops are going to be.
- Gamers Rejoice, desktops are teh pwnage for playing games… assuming you get a nice expensive one, yes… everything has got to be expensive if you want them to work really well.
Once again, I feel short… that’s all I could come up with
but that’s all good enough right?
