The Pirate Bay is Totally Leet

(the source of this information is ThetorrentFreak, but it’s not their original post)

The chief investigating officer in the Pirate Bay case who was revealed as recently working for Warner Bros, has been reported to the police. Yesterday the Pirate Bay crew filed “at least” three complaints, and further people have been reported for bribing the police.

ThePirateBay.org is under scrutiny by many large companies. These companies are all mad at TPB because they host torrent files of content that the companies could be selling. Since TPB is located in Sweden I think, none of the files that are hosted their really give US companies any jurisdiction.

The Police that will be investigating The Pirate Bay has worked for Warner Bros before, and it is said that he will return to work for Warner Bros after the case is done with.

Various media and anti-piracy agencies all want a large piece of the Pirate Bay crew and between them are demanding millions of dollars in compensation, a point that is contested by Brokep: “In fact, they owe us a shitload of money. All the time we’ve spent on being called criminals and hunted down by private investigators and getting our stuff stolen by them - it’s gonna be expensive for them.”

Brokep says their initial target is police officer and IT forensics expert Jim Keyzer, who they clearly see as corrupt:

“We reported the police officer yesterday. For a lot of different reasons, at least three criminal complaints were filed. But you know what? It’s illegal to bribe the police as well. So more people have been reported to the police.”

Brokep is clearly in defiant mood: “So who’s the fucking criminals really? Hey Hollywood assholes - Be afraid. Very afraid. The law is coming to serve justice.”

The Pirate Bay crew say that when the case is over, they will demand compensation for all the time and money they have invested in this “media circus”.

Make, Take (some), Invest, Repeat

May 17th, 2008 | 2 Comments | Posted in Resources

I’ve recently learned/confirmed the golden rule of making money, and maybe getting rich. The method of make,take, invest, and repeat is a surefire way to get/gain wealth. From the online webmaster to the average-everyday-entrepreneur, this method holds true. I’ll elaborate a bit more on the idea;

  • Make:
You make your base amount of money by working at an average job. For the internet guru, this would mean forum pay-per-post, blog reviews, link sales. (Of course the second two things must be built up to). You get the idea though, you have to make some money the old fashioned way, with hard work.
  • Take:
Next, you take 90% of your earnings, and use them to support yourself. Make sure you’re never living worse than you can bear just because you’re trying to save up for something. With the 10% you’ve saved from the money you made at work, you’re going to…
  • Invest:
You invest that 10% that you saved in something that can start bringing in an income. This could mean stocks, promoting a website. What you want to make sure to do is invest in someone who knows what they’re doing. Don’t pay the icecream man, to give you some of the diamonds that he traded to a starving kid for an icecream. (First of all, because this would never happen, Second… wtf did a starving kid have diamonds). Anyways, the point is… you invest in someone who knows exactly what they’re doing, and someone who will definitely help you earn a profit.
  • Repeat:
You must constantly repeat this method. You will have different streams of money coming in, and with other people doing the work. If you help to sponsor someone with their ventures, (someone who knows what they’re doing) then you will end up earning a greater income. Your income will always continue to grow as long as you take 10% of your earnings, and spend it on a new investment.

I actually got the jst of that from some money-making CD my stepdad owns. It’s common-knowledge though, the only problem is the fact that it’s somewhat hard to follow. You have to have some strength to hold back on spending extra, or trying to save to much.

Hopefully this helps some people out? :D

Juicy Campus

May 17th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Life of Slice?, World, internet

Apparently another guy was arrested over making an obviously fake threat on the internet today.  The threat was Made on JuicyCampus, which is a site where kids/teens can gossip about their schools I guess.  Something I would never use, but I guess it’s pretty popular (It is now! lol).  I know threats are wrong, and you shouldn’t do it in real life, nor on the internet… but I definitely think that the people should be given a little more slack when it comes to the internet.

Despite school shootings being horrible, I’m certain mosts teens have made some wise crack about pulling a VT, and even elaborated on that.

This person was arrested for writing:

“I wonder if i could shut down the school by saying I’m going to shoot as many people as i can in my second class tomorrow.I hope I get more than 50,”

George So says, and then goes on to add

“For liability reasons and IP tracking I won’t leave it at that. But seriously, this site is rediculous [sic], if it got big, and someone put the effort into writing a big long serious suicide note informing all readers that he would kill over 100 kids, they could shut down the school. Nice.”

To me that doesn’t even sound like a threat, but the police thought that it had to be taken seriously.  Obviously with all of the recent school shootings, they needed to be careful.  George So’s colleague told the campus police about the post, and the campus police then told the city police.  George So ended up being arrested, and his apartment was searched (where no weapons were found).

So… long story short, much adieu about nothing.

Lulz at North Korea

May 17th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in World

Wikipedia:

North Korea is the commonly used short form name for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (or DPRK[4]), a state located in East Asia, in the northern half of the Korean Peninsula, with its capital in the city of Pyongyang.

To the south, separated by the Korean Demilitarized Zone, lies South Korea, with which it formed one nation until division following World War II. At its northern Amnok River border are China and, separated by the Tumen River in the extreme north-east, Russia.

I just watched a video on North Korea today, and it got me to thinking how much I want them gone.  Not to sound mean or anything, but they have nuclear weapons and they hate Americans.  The documentary I watched showed a mother walking to kindergarten with her young daughter, and singing some song about crushing the Americans.  “We will bring them to there knees”  (not an exact quote, but something about bringing them to their knees and then killing them).

Of course lots of people hate Americans, but the decision to go to war with American lies with one man.  Not the entire country of people.  What their leader Kim Jong-Il says, goes.  So if he says he wants to go and attack us, then the rest of the country will follow his will.

Anyways I don’t want to go on and on about it, I just thought North Korea was weird as hell… so I wanted to share.  You can find out more about the Korea in the North at the Wik~

LeetWebmasters

May 17th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Promotional

A friend of mine has recently created a new webmaster resource site.  Of course if he ever hopes to surpass some of the top webmaster forums already out there he’s going to need something new right?  I believe LeetWebmasters does have something unique about it.

First of all, it includes many different parts, for webmaster articles (pssh… mine are way better though of course).  It contains useful tutorials, guides, and a community, or at least somewhere a community could be made.  I suggest joining leetwebmasters, as I know the owner personally and he will make it worth your while.  You’ll most likely learn tips and tricks that you couldn’t find elsewhere.  Despite being new, the owner means business and he’ll have a full fledged forum in no time. Go HERE to sign up!

Data, if my blog was more popular, I’d definitely make you pay me for this. lol Just kidding ;)
