Here is a list of sites you could submit the articles you toiled over making. Some of these sites are very new, where as others have great pr, and are pretty well aged. Hopefully this list will help you… as there is always people asking for a big old list of article submission sites. By the way, this is a huge list of 300 sites, so you’ll have something to do this summer, which is coming up pretty soon. Have fun, maybe I’ll add the pagerank next to the sites later, but then that would just be something I’d have to update later. Ok, so… here you go.
First an explanation of article submission. Submitting your articles to high traffic sites that allow people to use the articles you’ve submitted on their own blogs, is a great way to build up backlinks and traffic to your own site. Just include some links back to yourself inside of the article, making sure they’re relevant and no to obviously… just plugged into the post. If you get one of those really good high pr, high trafficked sites… then get ready for a boost in traffic and pr! It’s really that simple, now get to submitting!
Wow, its time for another one of the webjedis famous lists aren’t you excited? Well, I think you have reason to be excited as our lists are always pretty helpful, atleast from my point of view. They’re straight to the point, and you don’t have to read a bunch of extra stuff I’ve written just for blog fillers. This is a list of services, which you must pay for that allow you to increase your backlinks. I’m not going to include everything, just the ones I have tried, or I recommend because I’d like to try it, or just the ones I know can be trusted and work well!
Of course, increasing your backlinks with services like this are all quite pricey, and there is an alternative way to do it! Purchase links in the buy, sell, and trade forums either here, or on the digitalpoint forums.

If you want to check out one of the sites just ‘google’ the name and you’ll get the url for it. This is a list of the top social bookmarking sites in order of their public hype (perceived by me). Hopefully you could use this list to help get more traffic to your site. If you have an argument about the placement of one of the sites, then just create some hype about it. If you know of one you don’t see on the list, then just comment with the url and I’ll put it up.
1. Exchange links with other aspiring webmasters, the more developed their site is, the better the backlink is.
2. Deep linking.
You embed your partner’s link into relevant text on a page other than your directory page, and your partner does the same with your link.
3. Put your links in forum signatures, or in your email signature.
4. Leave comments in shoutboxes and on relevant blog posts.
5. Submit your website to niche or general website directories.
These can be paid or free; I choose depending on what I need to do to get a link without having to put a link on my website. I prefer free, but it’s a personal choice. Paying usually get’s you featured links and increases your visibility… they also tend to get reviewed quicker.
6. Write and syndicate articles and include your url link in the resource box.
Write exclusive articles for high-traffic sites that rank highly in search engine results.
Thinking Outside the Box
7. If you’d like a link from a site with a higher page rank than your own, ask for a link on their directory page in exchange for a link on your homepage as well as in your directory. Save this idea for one or two HIGHLY relevant but non-competitive sites, and only if their search engine results are on, say, page 1 of Google.
8. Write testimonials and reviews.
Communicate personally with webmasters. Write up a short review of their website or product rather than sending them a generic request for a link trade. Don’t wait for them to ask for a testimonial, send them one anyways. For example, instead of saying “I visited your site and like it a lot, I agree with what you say about (blah blah) and thought we’d make great link partners, would you like to…” try summing up what it is about your business that relates to the other website. Promote your business in a way that’s in XYZ’s best interests to print as a testimonial- how their product benefits your business.
The web jedis would love to get emails like that, we’d probably send an email back looking to use it on our site.
9. Write reviews where they’re asked for.
Search around. Don’t look too far
The big names are the places you want to go. Take Amazon.com for example. People click over to Amazon with their credit cards ready. They are discerning shoppers and they are often repeat customers; they read reviews, they follow links to “what else purchasers of [a particular product] bought”. So write reviews of products that relate to your website topic. Book reviews are the easiest; follow your nose to the bestsellers or new books in your category at the library.
10. Communicate with whoever you represent as an affiliate.
Create a product such as a user manual or report (”10 Tips for Succeeding as an ‘example’ Affiliate” or “How to Increase Your Productivity Using ['example's' Product] in your Home Office”)and embed your url link(s) in it. Let the affiliate program manager distribute your report or manual to his affiliates. Or again, write a glowing testimonial to the program, product or owner’s customer service, etc.
Those, are some of the greatest ways to get backlinks for your websites!
This is a list of forums that allow you to put links in your signature. I built the list after searching around for quite awhile >_<, so I hope you guys enjoy it. A link back from anybody who’s forum is listed here would be greatly appreciated, although I do not require it.
Want your site to be added? Just comment on this post! With a forum link, and its current pr. If you have any errors to report, comment here also! Thanks, hope you enjoy the list
This compilation of free directories has been found useful to many webmasters, and I myself have used it for this site, I recommend this site for submitting your site to directories!
