Porn Sites Are Saturated

May 25th, 2008 | 4 Comments | Posted in Advertising Networks, Hints and Tips

I always read things in the digitalpoint sales forum where webmasters of adult websites seem to be very profitable. The truth is, it’s not as easy/turnkey as it seems to make an adult site profitable. It takes a lot of time, dedication, and startup funds to make an adult site that profits. Barefootsies writes great information on adult websites, and he has the experience to back it up.

You can still make a lot of easy money in adult, but many R-E-F-U-S-E to think outside the box. Clips4sale as an example is a gold mine for a thousand plus dollars a month depending on your content, number of stores, niche, and many refuse to pursue it. Or they try it for a month, and give up.

I have launched many paysites off of c4s. Posting content every few days with a watermark for the site, and in 45-60 days launching a paysite behind it. This builds up the momentum before launch, and you already have a customer base. Plus Neil (owner of c4s) buys a lot of traffic that he throws at the main page of the site on top of that. So it’s a very good place to start.

Even if you MAKE your own content, you should be able to recoup your expenses in 45-60 days if you are doing right. Then in another 45-60 you are making PROFIT. Launch your paysite, sell some DVD’s, now you are making even MORE money on residuals. Start doing some custom orders at $100-300 a pop for your mem

bers, and fans, and you have even more money coming in. Launch another, rinse, wash, repeat, and you are making $XXX,XXX in a few years.

That said, you also have to be willing to do the work. This means submitting galleries using a submitter program 4-7 times a week CONSISTENTLY. As well as link dumps, and link building. You have to be tweaking the formula every week to get a few more links for SEO, or traffic streams by submitting 30 second clips to tube sites. The job is never ending… just like ANY JOB.

Many fail because they refuse to treat it as a business. Online is no different than any other, and if you can’t buckle down and keep up the consistent work, you are going to fall into buying traffic. Which is a fool’s errand. Most of that shit is crap. Skimmed stuff, or unfiltered Chinese mess that will not convert.

CONVERSIONS is the name of the game, and getting GOOD FILTERED traffic is the key. If you can convert 1:100/300 uv a day. It’s better than burning your bandwidth trying to chase a 1:10000 conversion. Which many do, and burn their wallets out, and give up. I’ve seen it countless times over the years.

xxx

Doing affiliate stuff is harder I agree. I have dumped most of mine, and just promote my own sister sites now, or sites that have a direct benefit in one way or another. However, with the shaves cranked up on a lot of programs because they are hurting, chasing that dollar is becoming hard in both adult and mainstream.

It’s about working smarter, not harder. Many blow their budgets on some of the most asinine things when all you have to do is spend the TIME and doing something DAILY. Submit a gallery, get some links, post a video, make some posts on message boards. There are a hundred ways to skin that dollar. But you have to be willing to work. Buying traffic, and not doing the little things that make big cents is not going to cut it.

Funniest Quotes on the Net P.1

May 16th, 2008 | 3 Comments | Posted in internet

Ok, there are certain quotes on the internet that I just cannot stand to not-share with anyone.  Meaning that I have a few hilarious quotes that I must share with you.

The first quote being:

The name commands respect. Who is this Drieick? Drieick is a man’s man. Women want him, men want to be him.
You ask yourself why you get up in the morning. Is it because the birds sing, the flowers grow and the sun shines? Is it the freshly brewed cup of hot java waiting for your emergence on a crisp dawn, or perhaps the daily call to arms? Nay. Tis but one reason: Drieick.

You can find the original forum thread this quote was found on Here.
The context of the quote is… a forum alias talking about another forum alias.
Klashboards is by far home to some of the greatest quotes on the internet, and TheFondler, is usually the one that posts the funny stuff.  Of course other members have their moments as well.
Later in that thread TheFondler posts
His prose moves like water. Fluid. Willowy. Graceful. Wispy as the summer breeze. He’s possessed of a fawn’s elegant neck and even his tiptoes would remind you of gazelles treading in protracted strides. He’s genuine, timid to a fault, oblivious to his iridescent beauty. It’s quite stirring; it’s quite disarming. Love is a peculiar thing. It transcends understanding. It rises above the cruelty of things. It whispers “…..Drieick….”
I honestly think this ‘TheFondler’ has an aura of nonsensical genius.
Now, the third and final quote has to come from memory (I apologize) because I can’t re-find the quote on this internet.  But I think it was from the basilmarket forums.
I hope that one day I am able to see a canadian.  What do canadians look like anyways?  Maybe I have seen one and not noticed?
Just the stupidity of this person, to post something that suggests that canadians don’t look like any other human-being seems hilarious to me.

Useful Forums

May 16th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Resources

Alright, I’m going to list some great forums, and what they’re useful for. (Usually pertaining to webmaster’s unless it’s one of my forums). I’ll try to list the forums in order of PR, and help you to determine which ones are good for signature links.

Signature Links are a great way to build up backlinks, and add pagerank to your websites. The higher the pr of the forum you have signature links on, and the more posts you make, the better the boost your sig link will give you. Hence you will become higher ranked in search engines, and ultimatize your SEO awesomeness.

DigitalPoint Forums: PR7
Digital point has been the most useful forum for me in my webmaster-ing career. Atleast so far that is. They have a huge member base, and all the better for receiving help. You can find tons of guides on there, searching the forums will usually give you better results than google. I definitely recommend you sign up for digitalpoint forums if you are an aspiring webmaster.

V7N: The forums are ranked at PR5
V7N is somewhat of a dying forum, but it used to be equal to digitalpoint’s greatness. It has a lot of members, but few are very active now. You are allowed to have signature links once you get 50 posts… which is somewhat of a crappy deal. Despite V7N being a dying forum, there is still quite a bit of useful information on there.

SitePoint: PR 4 (forums)
Many people use sitepoint to auction off their sites, and seek advise. Sitepoint is also a webhosting company (which i advise against).

Direct Advertisement: PR 0
Direct Advertisement is a forum built to help owners of websites, and forums (more specifically). It includes many free services for advertising websites. The more members direct advertisement has, the more potential members you get when you advertise your site there. Anyways, despite being PR0, the forum is more active than all the other sites I have listed here, other than Digitalpoint.

SEOChat: PR 4
A great forum for finding information on SEO (Search Engine Optimization), although there isn’t many people to talk to any more. Again, a good place for putting links in your signature.

I’ll probably update this list of useful forums later, if you have one that is either high PR, or high on traffic and users, or contains lots and lots of useful information. Feel free to comment on this post and I can add you to the list.

Does This BOTHER YOU!?&(#

May 16th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Worthless

Often times on forums, which are great resources and fun users seem to misuse the versatility and range of text effects. They end up tYPING lIKE DiS. Or maybe they try to keep it subtle, but every single one of their posts is different from everybody elses.

Maybe they center the text
Maybe they Italicize everything

Maybe they Italicize and bold everything
Maybe they italicize, bold, and color everything

I personally find it somewhat annoying when members of forums make the text of every single post they make special. Like, why do you waste your time adding useless text effects to your posts? Of course it’s their time and they can do with it what they want, I just hate them all for it (not, I’m kidding).

then their is the people who add #@(%^#@)(8 other random

Effects

to everything they do on a forum

Which is completely random and unnecessary… but hey, not trying to be Bitchy here, I just calls it as I Sees it.

Another post that doesn’t really have any meaning or use… to anything.
