XP’s End of Life
“XP will hit an end-of-life. We have announced one. If customer feedback varies, we can always wake up smarter, but right now, we have a plan for end-of-life for new XP shipments.” (Microsoft CEO - Steve Ballmer)
There is a June 30th deadline, for when xp’s life will be ended :(. Anyways, many PC vendors are trying to get Microsoft to think a little bit harder about what they’re doing. Many people are still downgrading their pcs to XP because they don’t like Vista, so I doubt many of the general public will be happy that the option won’t be available anymore. HP, Dell, and Lenova say that they would downgrade from vista to XP on customer request until 2009. Many other companies might include an xp disc with the computer you purchase.
The deadline for Microsoft to stop selling XP is June 30th of this year. Of course, they could end up changing their minds if the they get enough complaints from customers.
